Spring 09 Jr Racquetball Schedule and Registration Form
Ages: 6-9 One hour group lessons to introduce the participant to the game of racquetball. Stretching and relay drills, basic forehand, backhand and one serve can be taught to this age group while using fun and games to make it interesting and keep the participant's interest. Playing with another participant at the end of every class with minimal supervision is also a key part of the learning process.
Ages 10-12 One hour group lessons to introduce the participant to the game of racquetball. The rules of the game and the lines on the court will be explained. Stretching and eye-hand co-ordination drills, basic forehand, backhand, serves, ceiling and how to play of the back wall is introduced to this age group. Playing with another participant a the end of every class without and instructor on the court is a key part of the learning process.
High School One hour lessons to prepare the participant for competitive league's or tournament play. This level can play on their own and attend the junior drop in session. The rules of the game and the lines on the court will be explained to newcomer's. Stretching and eye-hand co-ordination drills, basic forehand, backhand, serves, ceiling and how to lay off the back wall is re-introduced at an advanced pace. Every participant will be encouraged to play a high energy 15 point game with another participant at the end of every class.
